They have no effect on gloss, dry time, waterresistance, hardness, corrosion, foaming, or othercoating properties. The pigments are selected toprovide a wide range of hues that provide gooddurability, light fastness, and chemical resistance.However, the light fastness, chemical and weatheringproperties of pigments depend on the coating in whichthey are used. Chess colour dispersions arerecommended for Paper coating, industrial coatingapplication, water-borne coating, ink, textile, fiberdope dying applications and also used for generalindustrial finishes, wood coatings, and coatings forplastics.
